Photo to story: how to get different text variants
The 'Photo to story' tool creates a fictional story based on visible image details. You upload a picture, describe an idea, set tone and length, and then get one text result. In this article we explain how to get several different variants by changing the criteria, compare them and choose the best one. All examples are fictional and provided for illustration only.
Open tool: Image to story ↗How the tool works and what it accepts
'Photo to story' is a web form with text fields. In the first field you enter your text or idea (up to 8000 characters), in the second - wishes for tone, style or format (up to 1000 characters), in the third - desired length or duration. You also upload an image (up to 4 MB). After pressing 'Generate' a single result appears in a separate panel. It can be copied or downloaded as a plain text TXT file.
The tool does not analyze sound and does not send audio to AI: speech is processed locally. Images it creates are vector compositions (SVG and PNG), not photorealistic generation. Also available is speech via eSpeak (WAV) and subtitles SRT. No batch processing, auto-saving, integrations, OCR in proofreader, settings panels, highlighting changes, special comparison modes, direct publishing, email delivery, document upload, premium plan, registration, voice cloning, photorealistic image generation or audio/video generation. Inputs: first field up to 8000 characters, second up to 1000, speech up to 3000 characters, images up to 4 MB, browser audio up to 20 MB/5 minutes. Model responses may contain errors; queue and availability vary. Keep article focused on the tool task, not generic AI.
Important: the tool creates a fictional story inspired by visible details. It does not claim that the story describes real events. Therefore do not treat the result as documentary evidence.
Example request: 'Write a short inspiring story based on this photo. Tone - warm, length - 3 paragraphs.'
Why the same query gives different results
Even with the same image and text the tool may give different variants because generation is probabilistic. Moreover, you can consciously change input parameters: style, length, focus. This allows you to get several story versions and choose the most suitable one.
For example, if you specify style 'dark detective', the story will differ from a variant with style 'light fairy tale'. Length also affects: a short story will be more general, a long one - more detailed. Changing these criteria explores different creative directions.
It is useful to save successful formulations from different variants and combine them manually. The tool has no comparison mode, so you have to compare by copying texts into a separate document.
Three options for one photo: 1) 'Short story in fantasy style'; 2) 'Middle-length story in realism style'; 3) 'Long story in sci-fi style'.
How to change style and length to get different variants
Style is set in the second field. You can write: 'humorous story', 'sad story', 'epic tale', 'diary entry', 'letter to a friend'. The more specific the description, the closer the result to expectation. For example, 'warm, slightly naive style with elements of magic' gives more predictable tone than just 'good style'.
Length is indicated in the third field. You can write '3 paragraphs', '500 words', 'short story taking 2 minutes to read'. The tool has no sliders, so length is regulated only by text. If you specify too large a volume, the model may cut the story or make it superficial. Better to ask for a realistic range: e.g. '4-5 paragraphs'.
To get three different variants, change only one parameter at a time. First make three generations with different style at the same length. Then fix style and change length. This way you will understand which parameter more strongly affects the result.
Request 1: 'Style: ironic detective. Length: 3 paragraphs.' Request 2: 'Style: lyrical prose. Length: 5 paragraphs.' Request 3: 'Style: science fiction. Length: 7 paragraphs.'
Comparing three variants: criteria and practice
When you have three texts, compare them by several criteria: correspondence to visible image details, plot logic, language expressiveness, adherence to specified style and length. Do not rely only on first impression - read each variant aloud or silently.
It is useful to write down for each variant one strong and one weak side. For example, variant A exactly conveys the photo atmosphere, but plot is predictable; variant B is original but style is wrong; variant C is well written but ignores details. This helps choose a basis for polishing.
Remember the tool does not guarantee quality and does not check facts. All stories are fictional. If you plan to use the text publicly, make sure it does not violate anyone's rights and does not mislead readers.
Variant 1: strong atmosphere, weak ending. Variant 2: original idea, but wrong style. Variant 3: exact length adherence, but few details. Choose variant 1 and polish the ending manually.
Polishing the selected variant
After choosing a base edit the text: add missing details from the image, remove duplicates, fix grammar. The tool has no highlighting changes mode, so edit manually in any text editor. If needed, generate another variant with refined request, e.g.: 'Rewrite this fragment in a calmer tone'.
Do not forget that the story must remain fictional. If you add real facts, check them separately. The tool is not intended for creating documentary texts, news or legal documents.
For speech you can use the built-in eSpeak (WAV) function, but it does not clone voice and does not convey intonations. SRT subtitles are also available, but their accuracy depends on the text.
After generation: 'Replace the last paragraph with more optimistic. Keep style and length.'
Limitations and typical errors
The tool cannot generate photorealistic images, audio or video. It does not work with DOCX, PDF, does not perform batch processing, does not save automatically, does not integrate with other services, does not recognize text (OCR) in proofreader mode, does not have settings panels, does not highlight changes, does not compare variants, does not publish directly, does not send email, does not upload documents, does not have premium plan, registration, voice cloning. All this is important to consider so as not to expect extra.
Input data are limited: first field - 8000 characters, second - 1000, speech - 3000, images - 4 MB, browser audio - 20 MB or 5 minutes. Exceeding limits will cause an error. Model responses may contain errors, and queue and availability may change.
Do not try to use the tool for financial, medical or legal consultations. It does not give personalized advice and does not replace a specialist. All stories are fiction.
Error: request 'Make photorealistic video based on picture' - the tool cannot do this. Correct: 'Write a fictional story based on picture in fantasy style.'
'Photo to story' is a simple tool for creative text generation based on an image. By changing style and length you can get several variants, compare them and polish the best one. Remember the limitations: text only, vector images, local speech processing, many features missing. Use the tool as an inspiration source, but always check the result and state that the story is fictional.
