Understand the searched scope
This tool searches the first 2000 characters of the supplied text and retrieves at most three public web sources. It does not search a comprehensive plagiarism database.
The excerpt is shared with the search provider through OpenRouter. Choose material you have permission to submit and avoid including confidential information.

Separate wording from topic
Two pages can discuss the same subject without copying each other. Look for exact or clearly similar phrases, rather than treating shared terminology as proof of copying.
Open every relevant retrieved link. Confirm that the cited wording is present and inspect the surrounding passage, date and context.

Resolve the source relationship
If you used a source, record it and decide whether the wording should be quoted or independently explained with attribution. Rewriting alone does not erase a borrowed idea.
The citation formatter can help assemble a basic entry from known details. An empty search result is not proof that the draft is original.

Check the linked page, confirm the sentence and decide whether a quotation with attribution is needed.
